CANYON OF THE ANCIENTS

This cabin is one of Mark’s all time favorite places to visit. The owners are terrific hosts and our entire crew had so much fun exploring the Canyon of the Ancients that we didn’t want to come back so soon. The house itself is an example of how to mix different angles and materials to create a structure that fits in any environment. You can watch the crew take down an early 1800s springhouse in Wytheville, VA. They then moved this springhouse, along with logs and beams, to Cortez, CO, where they built a custom guest cottage for Canyon of the Ancients Ranch. The springhouse was rebuilt to serve as extra storage space for the owners of the ranch The new owners referred to it as “a little gem in the Southwest Colorado lodging”
